As a parent to a young rider, I’ve had a good share of experience with trail bikes, but the Yamaha PW80, my friends, is the most fun bike ever to ride. Here’s what I can confidently say;
It’s lightweight, agile, and easy on fuel. If you’re short, PW80 is an excellent fit, making it easy to handle. Still, it’s forgiving, well-mannered, and well-balanced. PW80 has adequate power but runs smoothly and quietly without vibrations. Great brakes and maximum saddle comfort. It starts immediately at the first approach. Excellent resale value, though I doubt you’ll want to dispose of it.
It’s hard to fault the PW80 because it keeps you wanting and enjoying more rides. Yamaha is perfect for young riders who know their way around motorbikes but don’t want a complex model. Keep reading.

Yamaha PW80 Review
Yamaha’s PW80 proves that life shouldn’t always be on the fast lane, especially if you’re on a motorcycle. PW80 can be fast, but the fun is riding it a few notches slower to feel the satisfaction and enjoyment of every ride. It has so much to offer than just top speed. Besides, it comes in various colors; blue and white, red and white, pink and white, and purple and white.
Yamaha PW80 Top Speed: 31mph (50 Km)
Ease of Use
Thanks to the adjustable, handlebar-mounted throttle limiter, parents can easily control the bike’s torque, increasing it as the child’s skill level improves.
The Yamaha PW80 has a low seat that enables beginners to sit steady and close to the ground while practicing. Better still, the seat is rigid, comprehensive, and somehow elevated, providing a comfortable view of the environment while moving.
Starting the PW80 is effortless with a kick-start lever. Plus, it doesn’t require a lot of energy to thrust and get it started.
The kick starter is on the right, next to the brake pedal. The PW80 doesn’t use any battery or lighting but has a flywheel magneto serving doubles up as its charging system.
The engine kill switch and the front brake lever are on the right handlebar for easy control.
The PW80 can run as long as your child outgrows it without needing significant or emergency repairs. Its durable structure provides adequate resilience for an all-weather and all-terrain dirt bike.
PW80 is the ideal learners’ bike that caters to all practice needs. However, once your child outgrows it, sell it before it becomes vulnerable to damage and find a more advanced bike for an older child.
The disadvantage of PW80 is that it doesn’t support jumping because some loose front components might fall off.
